Usually when you go to a business website, you are pretty much just shopping. We took a different approach here at BSP (Big Stick Products for all you newcomers!) and we have been showing you what we are doing as we go along. We hope you find it interesting, because believe us…it’s interesting on this end!
Life Happens. You hear that all the time and it is even more meaningful when you are starting your own business. When you have a partner, it’s multiplied by, well, two of course. For both of us, it’s been a challenge dedicating all the necessary time to our roll-out as well as to our pretty significant day jobs, High School teachers. We are lucky since we both work in the same school, making it a bit easier to communicate and use as much of our common time to bounce ideas around and talk. The other issue becomes simple bandwidth. Will has a family, and that comes with the very normal responsibilities, while I have a commitment to school stuff that goes beyond the normal day. Needless to say, we have continued to make progress on Big Stick Products.
We successfully rolled out our first Inaugural Tee and it was met with great interest! We sold a VERY satisfying number to parts near and far. We have continued to develop and tweak products and still have a few hidden up our sleeves!
Finally…we are going to branch out to an On-Demand Order Service for our customers, while we simultaneously plan out our Street Fair/Craft Fair schedule for the next five months or so.
The On Demand Order Service is going to be pretty easy to use, and at first, we are simply using PayPal, a fairly universal exchange system. We will definitely be branching out into other online pay options, but we like this one as our first jump into the pool…kiddie section for now, deep end later!
