It’s such a short phrase…but it packs quite a punch. Both Will and I are teachers and every day we have students that need to get from point A to point B…and learn stuff along the way (in his class it’s science…in my class it’s history…he’s lucky!) Over the years we have developed some systems and routines that we employ to make it SIMPLE for our students to navigate our daily routines. Long complex instructions, or unclear instructions, or convoluted processes will not help the students, and just make OUR lives miserable too.
So…we KEEP IT SIMPLE.
We carried that philosophy into our business model. Whether it’s in making our products, or creating our labels, even our website, we really try to keep it simple.
Take our Gin Kits for instance. A lot of other brands of Gin Kits come with a lot of really nice stuff, like funnels, and filters and extra bottles. You often have to put your ingredients in your own bottle, then use a cheesecloth to filter it out and use the funnel to pour it into another glass. You are paying for a funnel, extra glasses, cheese cloth, and sometimes, packaging. That’s cool…but we at Big Stick Products embrace simplicity!
One jar, a mason jar…not just because it’s cool for having our logo on it, but because it’s got a wide mouth making it easy to add in our ingredients. Our ingredients are conveniently inside diffusers. That makes it easy for our customers. You don’t have to worry about measuring, or filtering. Just drop in our diffusers following our simple instructions and then take them out when it’s time. No filtering, no mess, just a couple days and your gin is done, and in it’s mason jar until you finish it up!
We keep it simple because we want our customers to simply ENJOY our products, not have to work hard to do it.
